APPETIZERS

Creamy Egg Spread

This is something different. The recipe suggests spreading this on crackers, but I like it on toasted bagels or bagel chips. Blending the eggs one at a time is time consuming but gives a good consistency in the end.

Mexican Deviled Eggs

These are really good and most everyone takes a second helping. I have served them often, and I get a lot of requests for this recipe. Drain the salsa to make sure the egg yolk mixture does not get soupy, and use finely shredded cheddar cheese. You can make these ahead, but they are best if eaten within a few hours.

Savory Party Bread

This warm and cheesy appetizer has been a great success at several parties. I think it would also be a great side dish when serving soup.

Seafood Delight

I was introduced to this yummy appetizer by my friend Sue who serves it at all her great parties much to my delight. Although this version combines the crabmeat in the sauce, Sue flakes it on top of the sauce, and then adds fresh parsley to make the dish really colorful.

Sesame Chicken Strips

Sesame seeds just go with chicken and these strips are pretty easy to make. I have also served them as the main dish. I have included the suggested dipping sauce, but I prefer a honey mustard sauce.

Spiced Nuts

I have been giving this easy-to-make snack as gifts for years. Package it up in a pretty tin to make them special.
