Chocolate Caramel Candy

This candy looks and tastes a lot like a Snickers bar. Plan ahead because this recipe takes awhile to make; allow each layer to chill completely. And yes, it is a lot easier to just go out and buy a Snickers for yourself. But for a special treat, everyone seems to enjoy getting these in a Christmas goody box.

I have been giving this easy-to-make snack as gifts for years. Package it up in a pretty tin to make them special.

A year ago Christmas I tried several truffle recipes. These were probably the best received. These take several hours to make so plan accordingly. If you like mint candies, you should try your hand at these. If you drizzle them with red or pink chocolate, they would make a nice Valentine Day's gift.
