I am born.
Not exactly in a wheatfield, but I am proud
to say I am an Illinois farmer's daughter
(made famous by the Beach Boys.)

As a child, I would spend hours watching my favorite baby animal. In high school I started collecting them, and now have over five hundred. I have stuffed ones, big ones and tiny ones, dozens made of resin and wood. I have the pigs who have become stars and ones that are handmade and unique. They are whimsical and make me smile. (And make me very easy to shop for!)

But no, I don't want a real one!

After graduating from college I decided to seek my fame and fortune in Virginia. Home of the Founding Fathers, the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Chesapeake Bay.

Now I live happily in Richmond with my two apricot miniature poodles, Punkin and Peaches. We are members of a volunteer group called Therapy Dogs and Associates, and we visit patients in area hospitals and nursing homes. This photo was taken with their friends at an SPCA event. My babies are in the middle forefront of the photo.
